What do you actually do?

 

We clean all exterior windows, window sills and frames in residential properties. We clean the windows using a 25 foot (7+m) carbon fibre pole that can easily reach third storey windows. There is a soft-bristled brush attached to the end of the pole that we use to scrub dirt off the windows, leaving them perfectly clean. Additionally we use a pure water system, which is water that is free from any dirt or minerals. This means that no water spots or marks will be left on the glass. Using a combination of scrubbing and rinsing via pure water sprayed through the pole itself, we leave your windows looking brand new. There is no need to remove the water left on the windows as when this dries it leaves no spots, marks or residue that removing the water could add.

What should I expect at my window clean? Do I have to be home?

 

You don't need to be home for your window clean. You will receive a text reminder the day before your clean to tell you we're coming and to leave rear access unlocked for us. Then between 10am-6pm we will arrive, set up equipment and clean all exterior windows including frames and sills. When finished we will knock on to collect cash or card payments. If you have GoCardless set up then we will pop a notice through the letterbox to say we've been. We will then mark the job as complete which will authorise your GoCardless payment which we will receive in 5 days time. If there are any difficulties on the day (e.g. locked gate) we will knock on and try to get it resolved.

What is included in the price?

All exterior window panes, frames and sills shall be cleaned including conservatory windows where applicable. 


My windows are still wet?

Due to the pure water system we use, there is no need to dry the windows. This means that when they dry there will be no dirt or water marks left, just sparkling clean windows!


You haven't cleaned my conservatory roof?

Conservatory roof cleaning is a separate service we don't yet offer. If you would like to see this service offered, please enquire via email, text or phone.


How can I pay? / What payment methods do you accept?

We accept Card Payments, Cash or GoCardless direct debits. You can sign up to pay your tailored monthly quote via the GoCardless link emailed to you shortly after filling in the booking form, alternatively you can pay via cash or card on the day of your clean.
 


Will my windows be cleaned in the rain?

We will clean windows in almost all weather conditions as it does not affect the quality of the clean. We may occasionally need to reschedule in very bad wind/rain or freezing temperatures. (to prevent slipping hazards)


How will you gain access to the rear of my property?

Kindly leave any access to the front/back of the property unlocked on the day of your clean, we will send a text reminder the day before your clean.


Are you able to clean hard to reach windows over conservatories?

We use 25 foot poles with swivel attachments that make most windows a breeze. If there are any particularly challenging to reach windows we will try our best and let you know if there are any access difficulties.


Will you use my water supply?

 

No, we transport our own pure water to your house so we will not use your water.

What is pure water and why do you use it?


Pure water is water that is free from any dirt or minerals. This means that it leaves no water spots or marks on glass. By using pure water there is no need to remove the water left on the windows, as when they dry they will be perfectly clean.

 


What time will you arrive?

We will arrive at any point between 10-6, Monday to Friday. While we aim for consistency, the nature of window cleaning makes it hard to specify exact times. If you have any timeframe requirements please get in touch and we will do our best to accommodate you.


Do you come on the same day at the same time?

We will have you booked in for the same day each month where applicable, however times may vary. Weather conditions may also affect the day of your clean but we will keep you informed as to the day we will arrive.


Do you clean houses with difficult access?

We will try our best to work around any difficult access, however we are unable to pass through your home with our equipment so there must be some external access.


Do you have insurance?

Yes, we are fully insured with Public Liability insurance up to £1M.


Can you also clean my windows internally?

 

No, we cannot enter your home, all services are exterior only.


Why is a first clean more expensive?

First cleans are more expensive as the dirty windows require more scrubbing which uses more water and takes more time.


I believe you have missed a window?

We're only human, if you think we've made an honest mistake please get in touch and we will return another day to resolve it.


How can I cancel my window cleaning service?

Get in touch via email, phone or text to cancel your service. You are able to cancel GoCardless payments at any time but please also inform us to avoid any mix ups.

What is GoCardless?​

​

GoCardless is the most convenient and safest way to pay. There is no having to remember to pay for your window cleaning, and payment will only be taken after we have completed a window clean for you. This also means we will never be chasing you for payments. GoCardless is a very popular and fully regulated service that is also covered by the direct debit guarantee, if you have further questions please get in touch.

How does GoCardless work?

​

It is similar to a traditional direct debit system however we must request the money after each window clean. This means that you will not automatically be charged each month, you will only be charged when work has been completed. If for any reason you needed to skip a month for example, no payment would be taken. This also means there is no need to cancel your direct debit if you needed to postpone for a while as your account will simply lay dormant until next time.

When will my GoCardless payment be taken?

​

Payment will be taken roughly 5 days after we have completed a window clean for you. GoCardless will email you the date of payment and the amount to be taken.

Can I cancel GoCardless at any time?

​

Yes you can cancel GoCardless at any time as you have complete control as you would with any direct debit. Please do inform us via email, text or phone if you wish to cancel your window cleaning.​

How do I sign up to GoCardless to pay you?

​

When you have completed the booking form you will receive an email shortly after which will contain your personalised link to your GoCardless payment. Simply enter your details and once complete you're set up and ready to go.
